The Homeowner Flood Assistance Fund is designed to assist Marion County households in the wake of the devastating flood that occurred on June 15, 2025.

The Homeowner Flood Assistance Fund will provide one-time assistance payments of $500 to assist homeowners with:

  • Structural damage caused by the flood
  • Purchase of replacement appliances
  • Costs associated with clean-up from the flooding
     

Qualification Criteria

  • Must reside within Marion County, West Virginia 
  • Must own the residence you are requesting assistance for
  • Must have filled out the Damage Assessment Survey (Survey 123) by July 11, 2025
  • Must have experienced damage/loss from the flood that occurred on June 15, 2025
  • Must have photo documentation

This program is designed to be a first-come, first-serve program. 
 

You will be required to upload a valid driver’s license, utility bill to verify residence, and photos of the damage sustained.
 

If you need assistance completing the application, please contact the United Way at 304-366-4550 to schedule an appointment. You will need to bring required documentation at that time.  
 

Receiving Your Payment

  • Once your application has been processed, verified, and approved, you will be notified to pick-up your payment in person at the United Way office.
  • You will be required to sign and show your ID when you pick-up.
  • Households are only eligible for one assistance payment.
